He is a former biathlete, cross country skier and ski-roller. In recent years Cross Country Skiing, he has almost always been in the first ten, till he won the Marathon CUP World Cup in the 2013-2014 season. In summer, Sergio practices ski-rolling, a sport he gets good results in at world level, in the National team and always at the top in the Italian championships.
