"In September 2009, Barry ruptured his Achilles. After scan results predicted he would never compete at that level again he tried the ACCAPI FIR Pro Ankle Guard and remarkably, 2-3 weeks later he was able to re-commence light training which progressed in just a matter of 12 weeks to full gym, swim and bike training. Since then Barry has become an ambassador for the Nexus range but the story doesn't end there.

On the 14th February 2010, Barry was involved in a cycling accident which left him with a broken Femur (the Femur is the longest and largest bone in the human body which forms part of the hip and part of the knee) He was rushed to hospital and operated on at around 9.30am on Monday 15th.

"I am now back to training everyday and I am still using the back guard on my leg as it is dramatically improving the recovery of soft tissue damage around the injury. I am an avid fan of the Nexus range from Accapi and truly believe it has had a large impact on the astonishing recovery I have made to date.
